I'm So Glad Our Paths Have Crossed...

When was the last time you got a letter in the mail?

You know, an actual piece of paper in an envelope with a stamp on it.  Something tangible.  And not a card, either; birthday greetings and Christmas wishes don't count.

Are you stumped?

Yeah, me too.  Or at least, I would have been if you asked me a couple of hours ago.

I don't think I would be exaggerating when I say that I get at least one hundred emails per day.  Most of them are work related, but definitely a few from friends and family too.  And even though a lovely message from a friend can make me smile, cry, or otherwise feel, it just can't compare to the giddy pleasure of discovering something other than a bill in my mailbox.

Something that looks like this on the outside:

And this on the inside:

Smiles, somewhat in short supply today, have been replenished.  I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, discovering Santa brought me something that I didn't even know that I wanted until it was right there in front of me.

Magic.

Hooray for snail mail! I love getting surprises in the mail too. I'm grinning now because you're smiling. Glad it made your day.
